~ The Churchill Clark Canoe in Parkville ~

~ A Missouri River Trek from Montana to the Mississippi River ~
By Churchill Clark, Great, Great, Great, Great Grandson of William Clark
In a Dugout Canoe he Carved for the Trip

William Clark of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, also known as the Corps of Discovery Expedition
was the first American expedition to cross what is now the western portion of the United States
departing in May 1804, from near St. Louis on the Mississippi River
making their way westward through the continental divide to the Pacific coast

Earlier in 2004 there was a re-emactemt of the Lewis and Clark Expedition with a stopover in Parkville
I stopped in at Emglish Landing Park several times to capture the event with my old VCR Camera
Not very good quality Video but this does tell the story of the Visit fairly well

Now some of the Photos I made on the Riverbank before Churchill Clark and Mayor Johnston returned to the Park
Then I asked permission to make the Video and it turned out rather well
